Anita and Captain Marika Safarova visit the largest Buddhist temple in Europe while seeing cadet Julia Dorofeyeva in Elista, Russia. The community is almost entirely Buddhist, but The Salvation Army has found its niche there. 

Anita teaches holiness in leadership to local lay leaders in Baltsi, Moldova. We were thankful for a warm room and happy faces.

Our family together for the first Christmas in five years. That's Jason down front with his former girlfriend--and present wife! Justin and Jaron accompany Mom and Dad in the back. 

Check out the frost around Anita's black hood--this week we have had the coldest stretch of weather in Moscow since 1927! Businesses have closed to conserve power for heating residential areas. Schools have closed. We (showing our good sense) keep on working. Our cadets have not missed a single class either.
